Development Hockey - Learn to Play

This program is a fun and encouraging USA Hockey sanctioned atmosphere for skaters to learn the "ins and outs" of the game, while developing basic ice hockey skills in a pressure-free atmosphere.

Once you have successfully completed these programs, you are ready to move in to our Development League. You can learn more about the D-League here.

New York Rangers Learn To Play Hockey 

Learn to play is a USA Hockey designed introductory program that teaches new players, ages 5-9, the basic skills of skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting. In addition, children learn about hard-work and commitment on and off the ice. First time participants will receive a brand-new set of custom fitted hockey equipment, instruction from Rangers staff as well as special appearances from Rangers Alumni.
