Skate with Olympians this Summer!

Connecticut Speedskating is hosting a camp featuring two olympians, Kristen Santos and Julie Letai.  Kristen learned to speedskate right here at the Rinks! The camp is June 24-25 and features 6 hours of ice time and additional off ice dryland instruction.  This is open to those interested in trying speedskating and to those looking to improve their speed and power for Hockey and Figure skating.  A limited number of club speedskates are available to borrow.  No speedskating experience required, however, those interested in the camp can also contact   to inquire about spring ice sessions.

Speed Skating

The Connecticut Speedskating Club is pleased to host sessions at The Rinks for skaters of all ages and skill levels. The skaters are divided by age and skill levels, enabling beginners to feel less intimidated and more skilled skaters to be challenged. Our speed skating program features:

  • First trial session is FREE
  • Instruction by Connecticut Speedskating Association coaching staff included in fee
  • Weekly sessions focus on proper skating technique, power and speed.  Speedskating is also an excellent cross-training activity for many sports, including figure and hockey skating, running, cycling, etc.
  • Club and regional level competitions
  • Short and Long track training
